“VERSES”
Ahmet
Ferah has been working as a freelance photographer here in Turkey since
1993. Mr. Ferah has worked on
numerous projects from CD covers to tourist calendars, various clothing
advertisements and he recently finished a project with TRT 2 (Turkish
National Television Channel 2). He
has also been in numerous group exhibitions.
Mr. Ferah’s work has definitely satisfied his customers as well as
given him a reputable name as he goes on his tenth year of making a living
as a photographer. As
photographers come and go, Mr. Ferah proves in his work that photography to
him is definitely more than just a picture, but a conduit to capture the
essence of a precise moment in time.
“Verses” is Mr. Ferah’s first solo exhibition. He has been preparing for some time to put on this body of work, which reflects what he holds dear to his heart, his faith. For him the “verses” have come off the pages and have come alive through the eye of the camera. These images can be viewed on the walls of Aden Studio begininng April 3 at 19:00. Each photo holds a gentle, delicate and refreshing essence and feels as though it belongs on a film reel for a sort of “art house” film. Along with the photos, Mr. Ferah will have the reference material on hand for further viewing and for the feel of a silent picture movie.
