May 28 Robert Colleges' 24th Annual Fine Art Festival We were invited back to participate in Robert College's Fine Art Festival for our 4th year. We brought out an amazing group of artist's from the Hope Arts Festival held every year in Austin, Texas. We also brought out a young, active and determined group of Turkish break-dancers that did a wonderful job of entertaining the crowd. 1 day event 3000 in attendance |

May 31 - June 5 Ronald Lopez, was invited to attend "Mexico: Gateway to the Americas" (Puerta de las Americas) conference in Mexico City as a representative of both Res Artis and Aden Art Center. This was also an annual regional meeting for Res Artis. Mr. Lopez also had the privilege of speaking at the Museo Tamayo Arte Contemporaneo, where he spoke about the artist-in-residence program that Aden Art Center offers. Other keynote speakers were Clayton Campbell, Co-Executive Director of 18th Street Arts Center in Santa Monica, California, Rudolf Brunger, Director of UfaFabrik International Cultural Centre in Berlin, Germany and Richard Perram, Director of Bathurst Regional Art Gallery in Bathurst, Australia. He was also available to speak to people about Res Artis at the Museo Universitario de Ciencias y Arte. It was here also that he was interviewed by Canal 22, Mexico Cities leading TV channel on the arts and culture, on what it is like to live in Istanbul as an artist. Other facilities viewed were: FARO: El Faro de Oriente, Iztapalapa Museo Nacional Antropologia Palacio de Bellas Artes Galeria Kurimanzutto Museo Dolores Olmedo, Xochimilco Laboratorio Arte Alameda

June 7 & 8 Tunels' 5th Street Art Festival (mini) We were invited back to participate in the 5th Tunel International Art Festival. This year Aden was in charge of coordinating the event with over 30 artists, both local and international. Julie Upmeyer, one of our artist-in-residence who also joined in on this festival, created a "Feast for the Crowd". July 8 - August 12 "Power Struggle" Opening Reception: July 8, 2006 (6 - 10 pm) Held at the Bluebird Art House in Whittier, California Opening night drew in a crowd of over 300 people and proved to be a successful night for the artist and the team.
