2005 has proved to be a great year for Aden. We
were invited to more festivals this past year and we had more participants join
our International Program. We had a fabulous performance group, Urban
Poets, from Los Angeles come out and they just rocked the city for us
which was great. We met more artists in the community who really
enjoyed being new mentors in our International
Program. Our final project for the year, "Does
Religion Kill?", which ran co-current with the 9th International Istanbul
Biennial went over very well. It has now taken its own life-form and
will be touring the world.
"Expand Your Horizons" our International Program had a good number of participants this past year and they all really enjoyed the program. |

September 17 The Juried Exhibition: The Book: A Simultaneous Project of the 9th International Istanbul Biennial went over well. We had well over 200 participants at our opening and had a fabulous time on the balcony of the Union Han. The night could not have been more perfect with the GoldenHorn serving as our backdrop to this event. And the artwork, the dialogues and the video projections juxtaposed with the Haghia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Galata Tower was a splendid way to close out our final project for 2005. |
